Media reporting on Trump Admin. far from objective

President Donald Trump takes the oath of office as his wife Melania Trump holds the bible

Even before Donald Trump took the oath of office, the mainstream media and left-wing operatives were demonizing the soon-to-be president.

At the very beginning of President Trump’s inaugural speech, commentators on MSNBC were already dissecting it. Chris Matthews jumped on Trump’s “America first” phrase, saying it was racist and “Hitlerian,” apparently hearkening back 80 years to the “America First” movement that wanted to keep the U.S. out of WWII. Instead of airing the inauguration festivities, MSNBC preferred to concentrate on the anti-Trump riots that were taking place in Washington D.C. at the same time and making callous remarks about Trump’s speech.

In the most laughable part of the coverage, Matthews claimed not to want to take sides. But the hostility toward Trump was obvious. The commentators that were on the air with Matthews showed no hesitation in making crude remarks about the new president.

Using Matthews’ logic on the “America First” remark, one could say that for the last 8 years, MSNBC, and the mainstream media as a whole have been acting “Goebbels-ian” in it’s coverage of former President Obama. By singing Obama’s praises and openly supporting his agenda, the media have been acting as Obama’s defacto propaganda ministry.(Goebbels was Josef Goebbels, Adolf Hitler’s propaganda minister.)

MSNBC spent the entire day insulting Trump and questioning his fitness to lead the country. Of course, MSNBC has been operating openly as the media wing of the Democrat Party for years. So much so that they don’t even try to dispute it.

After the inauguration, President Trump was in the Oval Office with reporters from various news outlets. One, Time reporter Zeke Miller, tweeted that the bust of Martin Luther King, Jr. had been removed from the Oval Office when in fact it hadn’t. Miller later corrected the tweet, but the lasting effect had taken root in people’s minds. The impression is that Trump is a racist. The only difference in the Office was Winston Churchill’s bust was placed back in. Of course, when Obama removed it during his presidency, there wasn’t a peep from the media.

Reporters have badgered visitors to Trump trying to dig up dirt, rambled on in the White House press room, asking the same question over and over again, each time rewording it in an attempt to elicit a different answer so they could use it to denigrate the President. The different tones journalists took when reporting on the Obama administration and now the Trump administration are blatantly obvious.

The hatred of President Trump that’s being exhibited by the media, and the biased way they report on the new administration should give everyone pause. Claiming to be neutral when reporting on the Trump administration doesn’t hold water.
