National Security,American people take a back seat to politics

Listening to Democrats and their operatives in the mainstream media, President Trump temporarily suspending refugees from the U.S. for 90 days is unprecedented. Not exactly.

In 2011, the Obama State Department in 2011 put a halt to the processing of Iraq refugee requests for six months. The halt was the result of the discovery of two al-Qaida members admitted as refugees from Iraq who were living in Bowling Green, Kentucky and who had admitted to targeting U.S. troops in Iraq.

The network also cited FBI agents conceding that “several dozen suspected terrorist bomb makers, including some believed to have targeted American troops, may have mistakenly been allowed to move to the United States as war refugees.” Of course, Democrats and the mainstream media never objected. There were no protests or riots breaking out across the country. Not a peep from anybody.

White House documents also show that former President Bill Clinton issued six immigrant bans; George W. Bush six immigrant bans; and former President Ronald Reagan four. And in 1980, former President Jimmy Carter banned Iranians after Tehran seized the U.S. embassy.

Before leaving office, President Obama ended the “wet foot, dry foot” policy pertaining to Cubans fleeing communist Cuba, 90 miles off the Florida coast. The policy change was in response to the Obama administrations warming relations with the country’s dictator Raul Castro, who assumed power after his brother, Fidel, became ill and was unable to rule. The renewed relations did nothing to end the brutal treatment of political opponents of the Castro brothers. Again, not a word from Democrats or the mainstream media.

Today, Donald Trump is president and the reaction to his executive order to temporarily suspend immigration to the U.S. from 7 countries, which are predominately Muslim is receiving a very different response.  Democrats and the media have ignited a firestorm of opposition to Trump’s actions, calling the order a “Muslim ban,” though 43 other countries that are majority Muslim weren’t put on the ban.

The banned countries, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen from entering the US for 90 days and all refugees for 120 days. Iran is the largest supporter of terror groups in the world, while the others have either a shaky government, or no functioning government at all.

Protests around the country have become violent riots, with an unknown number of people injured, and hundreds of thousands of dollars in property damage reported. Democrats have sat back and admired their handy-work, while the media have gleefully covered the melee, promoting the “Trump is a racist” atmosphere. Not one member of the Democrat Party has condemned the violence. Their silence speaks volumes.

James Robart, a federal judge in Seattle, issued the injunction Friday halting Trump’s exec. order, stating a lack of danger to Americans from immigrants from the seven countries. Even though Robart doesn’t get security briefings and has no insight into what the president may know about possible attacks.

The Trump administration appealed the ruling, which is now in the hands of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, known as the most liberal court in the nation, and the most overturned by the Supreme Court.

Democrats rejoiced over Judge Robarts’ order. “Tonight’s ruling on (Trump’s) dangerous #MuslimBan is a sign of things to come,” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi tweeted late Friday. “Our national security and our Constitution demand better.”

While other president’s have signed similar orders, including Obama and there were no objections then, common sense says that Democrats and other liberal groups who are complaining now and inciting unrest, are putting the national security of the United States at risk simply for political reasons.
