The hatred for President Donald Trump has not just ingrained itself into the Democrat Party and their radical supporters on the left who have been burning buildings and cars because someone says something they don’t like, but the media have joined in too, hook, line and sinker.
Last week President Trump signed an executive order temporarily halting the immigration of people from 7 Middle Eastern countries into the United States. The travel ban is expected to last for 90 days to give the U.S. time to improve the vetting process for refugees. Democrats and the mainstream media apparently don’t know, or don’t want to know what the definition of “temporary” is, preferring instead to stir up their base with falsehoods. No surprise there.
Since then, Democrats and the media have been claiming the order is a “Muslim ban” even though there is no mention of religion. Of course they know that, but it gives the impression that Trump is only banning Muslims and is therefore a rabid anti-Muslim. They know there are some who will believe anything they say or write.
The desired result has been achieved, with protests and riots. It’s no big deal that private property gets destroyed or people are injured, which is exactly what happened at UC Berkeley.
A scheduled speech by Conservative commentator Milo Yiannopoulos was canceled because a protest by students, professors and others turned into a violent riot. At least $100,000 in property damage from fires and broken glass was reported, and a number of Trump supporters were injured, including one woman who was pepper-sprayed by a “protester.”
Democrats of course took a ho-hum attitude toward the riot, though one congresswoman, Rep. Val Demings (D-Fla.) had a more much positive attitude. She called the riots a “beautiful sight.”
The hatred for Trump in the media is so bad that some are demanding public figures to disavow their support for Trump. Nancy Armour, a sportswriter for USA Today, attacked Tom Brady, the New England Patriots QB and Trump supporter, demanding he publicly disavow Trump’s actions, and if he didn’t, he would be “giving tacit endorsement to both Trump and the chaos he has created.”
“Tom Brady no longer gets a pass on his friendship with Donald Trump. Not after this weekend, when the country boiled over in rage and indignation at Trump’s decision to turn America’s back on refugees,” she said. She admitted she doesn’t know if Brady is aligned with Trump’s perspective or policies, but says he should “disavow” him anyway. But people like Colin Kaepernick, who refused to stand for the National Anthem, are real hero’s in her eyes.
When Judge James L. Robart, a federal judge in Seattle, temporarily halted Trump’s travel ban without really giving a reason, Trump responded with one of his signature tweets. In the tweet Trump referred to Robart as a “so-called” judge. The media immediately jumped on the remark, attacking Trump for daring to insult a representative of one of the three branches of government. While commenting on the president’s actions is fine and dandy, the media once again re-enforced the fact that it’s bias.
During his State of the Union speech in 2010, then President Obama unleashed a rather vicious attack on the Supreme Court for it’s Citizens United decision which held that political is a form of speech protected by the First Amendment. As would be the case for the next 8 years, the media brushed the attack off, largely ignoring it. Obama’s veiled threats against Chief Justice John Roberts in the lead-up to the decision on Obamacare didn’t rate the media’s attention either.
Articles that are obviously false or misleading have been reported on or written about with no regard for facts, as long as it casts doubt on Trump’s character or ability to lead. Democrats and their minions in the mainstream media could care less about the consequences of their actions.
Sadly, the amount of false, misleading and distorted information that’s being fed to the American people has led to serious injury and hundreds of thousands of dollars in property damage, and there is no sign of letting up.
The depth of the media’s bias against Republicans has never been as blatant as it is right now. The mainstream media, like Democrats, just can’t come to grip to the fact the American people are tired of the status quo.
